(03/11, 5-6 PM) Presentation by Alex Kokot. In this talk, we will build on the kernel thinning framework, extending it to coreset problems for non MMD divergences, with entropic optimal transport (particularly the sinkhorn divergence) being our motivating example. Along the way, we introduce basic key properties of entropic optimal transport, and expose how they relate to an implicit dimension reduction induced by this smoothing of the Wasserstein distance.
